Aldo Zavala Named Plant Manager for Telas Elásticas S. de. R. L.

AEC Narrow Fabrics' Honduran Operations is Focused on Manufacturing and Product Performance

AEC Narrow Fabrics has recently hired Aldo Zavala as its new plant manager for the Company's Telas Elásticas S. de. R. L. (TESA) plant in Honduras. He joins AEC bringing a prodigious background in textile manufacturing and in the apparel industry.

“We anticipate achieving even better efficiency and high-quality production from our TESA plant with Aldo at the helm," commented Robert Lawson, President of AEC Narrow Fabrics. "He understands manufacturing and dyeing and finishing from the inside out and will address the nuances that are so important to our customers. Managing high-volume manufacturing and complex processes are also among Aldo's strengths," Lawson noted.

AEC purchased controlling interest in the TESA manufacturing plant on April 29, 2012 as part of the Company's growth through strategic acquisition of manufacturing operations. That acquisition strengthened AEC's portfolio of products and complemented their North and Central American manufacturing. "Our customers appreciate our responsiveness and ability to manufacture narrow fabrics that perform to their specifications," said Robert Lawson. "By offering customers the customization and convenience they need to remain competitive, AEC has organically grown its business and achieved increased prominence in the narrow fabrics industry," he concluded.

Aldo Zavala has more than 26 years of experience in many facets of business and manufacturing, including roles as a plant manager in Guatemala as well as in Honduras. He has also been a finishing, logistics and operations manager in textile and narrow fabrics plants.  His early career was as a military aviator. He will be headquartered at the TESA plant in Honduras.
